This large lidded bowl was made from and eastern redbud tree. It features a lidd which was turned to be heavier that the bowl itself, symbolic of our efforts to hide anything within ourselves. Being turned from the log this bowl features both heart wood (dark) and sap wood (lighter) and what remains from where the bark attached itself to tree (the lightest section on the exterior of the bowl).
